Have you tried a potato pizza base yet? This is SUCH a yummy way to have pizza without all the wheat heaviness, and for those who don’t necessarily want to avoid wheat this is just a deliciously fluffy and crispy way to enjoy pizza with easy ingredients and preparation! What are you waiting for? 🥔🍕
Also – did you know that potato skins contain enzymes that help to digest the flesh? Leave your potato skins on when cooking with potatoes 😉
INGREDIENTS
🍕 Potatoes of your choice (around 4 potatoes per pizza / 1 per person)
🍕 @thevegandairy Cultured or Garlic Sage Butter
🍕 @thevegandairy Hemp Mozzarella
🍕 Tomato paste / sauce / fresh tomatoes
🍕 Pizza toppings of your choice! (we used red onion, olives, and fresh and dried herbs)
METHOD
Boil your potatoes until a fork easily pierces them. Drain and then mash or grate until completely soft with no chunks. Add a generous amount of butter (to your taste preferences) and mix to combine while still warm and melty. Using your hands make balls with your pizza potato ‘dough’. Oil a pan, place the potato ball on the pan, and gently flatten it out to form a nice round pizza base. Cook until browned and crispy, making sure you flip it to cook both sides. Once cooked to your liking remove from the pan, pop onto a plate, and top as your pizza-heart desires!!
