Quick and Easy Gluten Free Pizza Base

Starting the week with this delicious, but SIMPLE, family pleasing pizza base that is gluten free and quick to whip up last minute! This makes one very large pizza, or two ‘regular’ sized ones, if rolled out to be a ‘thin and crispy’ style base

INGREDIENTS

🍕 340g rice flour
🍕 5 tablespoons psyllium husks
🍕 450ml water
🍕 1/2 tsp baking soda
🍕 1 tsp baking powder
🍕 1 tsp salt
🍕 Herbs of choice (optional)
🍕 Pizza toppings of choice
🍕 Block of @thevegandairy Hemp Smoked Mozzarella

METHOD

Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl to evenly combine, including herbs if you would like your base to have herbs in it. Add water and whisk together ensuring there are no clumps – you may need to finish off with a spoon or your hands as this can thicken quickly. Let sit for 10 minutes to thicken properly

Lay out a baking tray with baking paper / silicone baking sheet. Put the dough on the sheet and roll out to the thickness that you like your pizza bases. Bear in mind the thicker it is, the longer it will take to cook and the softer it will be to pick up a piece. Pop in the oven at 180 degrees until golden then remove from oven, add your favourite pizza toppings, and pop back in the oven until cooked to your preference and melt desires

Chop up and dig in!!
